Tours - School, Scout and community groups are welcome to visit our main office in Harrisburg and/or production facility in Hampden Twp. to understand how information is gathered and distributed to keep readers in the know. Advertising, business, circulation, editorial, marketing and technology departments are located in Harrisburg. The newspaper is printed at and distributed from the production facility. Walking tours lasting about an hour are available for grades four and up. Tours should not exceed 25 individuals with one adult per ten students. Tours are available by appointment:
- Second Thursday of the month for ages 6 - 9 or grades first through third, 6-6:45 p.m. or 7 - 7:45 p.m.
- Third Wednesday of the month for ages 10 - 12 or grades four through eight, 10 - 11 a.m. or 6 - 7 p.m.
- Second Thursday of the month for ages 15 - 18 or grades nine through 12, main office, 10 a.m. or second Thursday of the month at The Patriot-News production facility, 1 - 2 p.m.
- Second Tuesday of the month for adults, main office or production facility, 1 p.m.
Schools receive pre- and post- tour curriculum and are required to purchase classroom sets of The Patriot-News for use prior to and after tours. Classified ads acknowledging tour groups appear in the newspaper on tour dates. Complimentary newspapers and stickers are also provided.
